Description
my summer intarsia project- another dragon
15" x 13" wide (38 x 34 cm)
made from walnut, cedar and the milky quartz crystals are maple.
approximately 27 hours not counting design time (and extended due to my band saw breaking).
inspiration- Fantasia's (Disney) Night on Bald Mountain (Mussorgsky) and Roger Dean's (all those Yes album covers) floating islands combined with my fascination with crystals

beautiful use of what nature has to offer us artists! a lot of work and love went into this piece! for sure...I made a swordfish once out of wood and know it is about the finish! lol
