Description
this is a good one folks!!!VII
Jerrod Returns
After a simple burst of speed from our horses, we appeared in the Andorra Field. The fields were grandly amazing! A dirt pathway was present in front of us, leading straight towards the castle. But along the dirt pathway was a fork of three different other pathways, one leading to Egeria Province, one leading to the castle, and the other one leading to our destination…Cacus Province. A pond could be seen just a few hundred yards away from us, along with a picket fence and a beautiful resting spot to go with it. But on the outskirts of these premises were demons that could be seen not too far away. We did our best to stand clear of them.
Our smiling faces could be easily seen by the beautiful sun that was fixing to come down upon us. This was it. This was the beautiful land of Andorra…well part of it. We are still in the Luonnotar Province…but we won’t be for long…
“Dude…,” Matt awed in amazement, “This place is so beautiful!” Heather joined Matt’s awe.
“It’s even prettier than I thought it would be!” she added. Grady tapped me on the shoulder as I turned to him.
“…And it’s all thanks to you that we can see the land!” he yelled.
“No worries!” I yelled, “I told you all I could get us into Andorra if we believed!”
“Well let’s cut the ‘oh so awesome’ crap and head towards Cacus!” Sarah yelled, “We’ve got a Fused Shard to go after!”
“Got it!” Cirby yelled as we charged at high speed to the left road. But on the way there…someone stopped us.
“HEY YOU GUYS!” we heard, “WAIT! STOP YOUR HORSES!” A man with two pointy ears was running towards us. He had a white athletics uniform on as well as ran to us in sandals. He had a bunny-like trademark around his waist. When he finally got to us, he slew down and started breathing heavily.
“…Who are you?” I asked. He looked at me and laughed.
“Well I’m the Postman of course!” he yelled, “Call me Bonsly if you like.” Grady looked at him for a second, as well as Matt, Cirby, Cameron, and Heather. Hell I even decided to join along.
“Well,” I said, “What do you want?” He had a bag strapped around his shoulders as well.
“I have a letter for you today!” he yelled as he got it out. He then gave it to me as Sarah sighed.
“Wonder who it’s from?” I questioned.
“Oh I can answer that one,” he said, “It’s from a girl who is living in Dalma Village right now!”
“What’s Dalma Village?” Grady asked.
“That’s in the Cacus Province my good sir!” he yelled, “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got more mail to deliver my good sir!” He started on his way towards the Luonnotar Woods entrance. I sighed.
“Well that wasted a bit of time,” Matt said.
“I wonder what the letter says.” Heather questioned.
“Well that will have to wait,” Cameron said, “Let’s first get into Cacus Province…then we’ll go ahead and discuss plans.” We all nodded as we charged our horses into the land once again.
At this, the skies started to turn dark…but it wasn’t because of the earth’s rotation that was making it dark…it was Dusk.
“Well,” Matt said, “Here’s the Dusk.” Sarah appeared.
“Looks like the Dusk pulverized Cacus Province as well,” she added, “Let’s go ahead and save it!” We all charged straight through the Dusk…that’s when light stopped finally.
Dusk started emitting through the air again…as it once did to Luonnotar. The dirt pathway and the rock walls were only leading us into the next part of Dusk.
“Is this…the Dusk that Rudy was talking about?” Cirby asked. I nodded.
“This is the Dusk that was taking over Luonnotar,” I explained, “Only now it’s taking over Cacus…badly.” Sarah smiled.
“I hope you all enjoy this place,” she said, “Only now we have to save it…and already it looks bad enough.”
“So I guess that means we need to make sure nothing even worse than this Dusk crap attacks Cacus right?” Matt asked.
“Exactly,” she said, “So let’s get down to it. It’s already sundown…so once the Dusk has been removed from Cacus; we can find a nearby inn and go to sleep.” Thank heavens for that explanation Sarah gave out. I’m pretty sure everyone else is extremely tired.
“Well then,” Heather said, “Let’s get started.” We all nodded as we began riding our horses through the gorge.
When the gorge area was passed through, a small area of the Cacus Province was witnessed. A dirt pathway leading to the other side of the Cacus Province could be seen as well as a big hill on the right of us with one tree on top of it. Only there was a tad problem with the dirt pathway.
“Where’s the bridge?” I asked. Sarah thought a moment.
“It’s…gone,” she answered.
“But how could the bridge just disappear if…gosh I don’t understand,” Cirby said.
“That’s Dusk for ya,” she said, “Now let’s see…if we can just make one…”
“Screw that,” Cameron said, “I’d rather find one than make one geeze.” Then it hit me.
“Wait!” I yelled, “Didn’t we see a long wooden object on the side of the entire forest?” I asked. We all nodded.
“Well that must’ve been the bridge that once stood here!”
“But how in the hell did it end up in the Luonnotar Province then?” Cameron asked. Sarah got an idea.
“Wait here,” she said, “I’ll go get it…trust me.” She then disappeared. Three minutes later, a warp hole above us appeared…and a bridge made of nothing more than Dusk was witnessed. The bridge fell into the fitting of the two ledges…and it was now once where it stood before.
“Way to go Sarah!” I yelled as she smiled.
“Thanks,” she said, “Now let’s get going!” As we crossed the bridge, the dirt pathway continued on as I saw it be. My friends and I continued to ride our horses onward the pathway. Another stop came to us…only this time it was the gates.
“What’s up with the gates?” I asked.
“Why are they locked shut?” Grady asked.
“Something happened here,” Sarah answered, “Something between the Norogs and the humans.” I questioned her.
“What’s a Norog?” I asked.
“Only one of the strongest brutes of this world,” Grady answered, “A Norog is composed of the ground and rock put together. They are known to roll into balls for self-defense or travel. They are, again, one of the biggest and strongest brutes of this world, but despite their size and power, they can be very nice to people.”
“So if they are nice,” Heather added, “Why did they lock this gate?”
“They didn’t,” Sarah said, “Somebody else did…just to keep something out…or something in.”
“Whatever the case,” Matt said, “We should figure it out. Let’s go inside to see if we can.”
“But we can’t get inside,” Cameron exclaimed.
“I bet we can,” Matt told him as he backed up his horse. At this, the horse neighed as both he and Heather charged towards the gate, jumping over it.
“Good girl Darling,” he said, patting her. Cirby got the idea.
“Let’s go Paladin,” he said as he and Cirby backed up. They managed to hope the fence as Miles, Grady and I joined as well. I wonder what was going on in Dalma Village anyway…
As we entered, we saw what was going on and everything. The Dusk emitted this area deeply as it was flying everywhere. The dirt pathway we followed took a strong right curve into the entire village settlement. Buildings were on both sides of the dirt road as well as other pathways leading along the rooftops of them.
“The spirit’s spring must be around here somewhere,” Sarah pondered. Everyone looked at us.
“…Spirit’s spring?” Matt asked.
“Yes,” she answered, “Thanks to the spirit in the Luonnotar Province, he gave us a pod that would conceal a tear of light. If we could find the demon responsible for the well-being of this area, making it Dusk and all, and destroy him to get his tear, then we could automatically restore the Cacus Province with light.”
“So we need to find the spirit’s spring first then right?” Heather asked.
“Yes,” Sarah answered, “Once we do, we can find the demon and slay it.” I nodded as she shook a bit.
“…I hope it’s not a big demon,” she said. I was hoping the same thing as well.
“Well I’ll tell ya this,” Cameron started as he pointed behind us, “Would that happen to be the spirit’s spring?” Behind us was a huge pond area that had an aura of light hovering just a little ways above the water.
“Let’s go see it,” I said. We got off our horses and walked over to it slowly, trying not to disturb its presence. But then after we managed to step inside the rock, the spirit acted fast. A ball of light emerged from the water, taking the spirit, shape-shifting it into a giant hawk. The spirit had fierce eyes from what we could all tell.
“At last…,” it spoke, “The bullets for the light has come.” I walked closer to it, hoping that it wouldn’t hurt me. “Don’t worry my child,” it started, “I’m not going to hurt any of you.” They all stepped closer to me as the spirit smiled. “My name is Cacus, the spirit of Dalma Village, one of the three spirits who’s been…consumed…by Dusk.” We all bowed to his respect. “As you all may know, Dusk has consumed the entire Province deeply and badly. It has even tackled the next area you may be going towards…the area where you seek dark power.” I nodded as the others did. “A demon has came into this area, and with his power, he consumed everything and turned it all into Dusk. However, now that you have come to this land, O chosen ones of the gods, his strength has been weakened…and he waits for you all to come and finish him. Find the demon who has consumed my tear of light and bring it here once you have it. In return, I will bring this land of light back to where it once was. Onward heroes…” The spirit disappeared into light that sunk slowly into the water…and the light disappeared. Grady looked at me.
“Cacus seems intelligent,” he said, “So where do we start?”
“Sarah,” I spoke, “Do you think you can use your senses to find out where the demon is at again?” She smiled.
“No problem!” she yelled, “Just give me a second.” She put her hands together and seemingly prayed to herself. Then after thirty seconds, she gave out the location.
“The demon is in this area where we are at,” she said, “But we are going to have to use a bit of air to get us to him.” Grady smiled.
“Then I believe I can help us,” he said, “Where do I start?” Sarah looked around the village to see if we could do anything. Then she smiled.
“This pathway over here says no trespassers,” she told us, “Wonder why…” We all headed up the little hill and turned to our left. There were buildings to hop across.
“Ready?” she said, “Gather all those wooden pieces to make us a little bridge to that cliff up there will ya Grady?”
“Sure Sarah,” he said as he got the boomerang ready. As he threw it, the wind came from below once again, gathering every piece of wood there was on the houses, assembling the bridge for us. When the boomerang came back to Grady, the bridge was complete.
“Well that was easy,” Cirby said, “Thanks to good old Grady here.” He smiled as he put the boomerang away.
“Well then…,” Heather said, “Shall we?” We walked up the bridge that oddly led us to the top. I guess you could call it a staircase in the like. Once we got to the top, we saw a house that we could enter.
“Maybe he’s in there,” I told them. We walked over to the house a little down hill from us. A sign was said to be labeled…
Joseph’s Bomb Shop Storage
“Looks like we’re messing with some high-explosive objects here if we walk inside,” I said.
“Gotta agree with ya on that one,” Cameron added, “So that means we’ll have to be careful upon going inside.”
“Then let’s go inside to see if we can find the demon,” Cirby said. We all nodded as we walked into the door.
As we walked in, we were amazed by the bombs and everything on the shelves. There were many varieties of bombs.
“Dude check this room out!” Cameron yelled, “They’ve got Fire Bombs, Water Bombs, Thunder Bombs, Earth Bombs, Wind Bombs, Ice Bombs, Dark Bombs and even Light Bombs! This guy is amazing with what he can cook up in here!”
“We could use these bunches in our adventure,” Grady said, “Think about all the possibilities we could use to our advantage!” I smiled at their thoughts, but we had to find that demon first. I wonder where he was.
“Do you guys think the demon’s in this house?” I asked.
“Could be,” Matt answered, “I don’t see how or why not. He’s got all the weaponry he needs to fight us…so I don’t see why not.”
“Good observation.” Suddenly, the fireplace in the house lit up brightly, catching all of the wood in the house on fire. At this, all of the bombs lit up!
“Oh Sh*t!” Cameron yelled, “Let’s get out of here!” I ran to the door…but something happened.
“The door!” I yelled, “It’s damn locked!” I saw the demon appear before us…and smiled.
“Good to see you again,” he spoke, “…Rudy.” I gasped.
“…Jerrod,” I spoke hoarsely. He laughed as he vanished.
“You know that guy?!” Cirby yelled.
“Don’t worry about if I know him or not!” I yelled, “WE’VE GOT TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS HOUSE BEFORE IT BLOWS UP!” The bombs’ fuse was shortening very fast. Soon, we would die instantly.
“Wait!” Grady yelled, “I’ve got an idea!” He got his boomerang out and threw to the wall. The wall busted open, leaving a tiny hole opened for us.
“Let’s get the hell out of here!” he yelled as he ran straight through the wall. We all followed, coughing hard because of the smoke that emitted from the house. And soon, in seconds…a catastrophic explosion of elements could be witnessed. It looked like an atomic bomb was dropped on the entire household. Fire was blazing like crazy…and a man could be seen running out of one of the houses, screaming.
“NO!!!” he yelled, “MY BOMB STORAGE…RUINED!” He ran over to the house faster than a cheetah, stopped in front of the storage, panicking more than I thought he would. “WHO THE HELL DID THIS TO MY STORAGE!” he continued screaming. Heather looked at me.
“Can’t he see us?” she asked, “We’re right in plain sight.” I remembered something after that.
“That man can’t see us because we are still in the Dusk!” I yelled. Grady looked at me.
“What?” he questioned.
“Because we’re in the Dusk Realm, he can’t see or hear us!” I yelled, “And that’s because he’s in the Light Realm.” He understood as the others did.
“I’ve gotta call for help!” the man yelled as he charged at high speeds down the hill. “Mr. Crowder! Mr. Crowder! Please help me! It’s an emergency!!!” At this, he slammed the door to his house.
Suddenly, Jerrod appeared before us with a smile on his face with his eyes closed.
“…I’m surprised you could get away from all those bombs,” he said, “You have more intelligence than I thought you would.” Grady looked at him with his boomerang pointing out at him.
“STATE YOUR NAME AND WHY YOU ARE HERE!” he commanded, “OR I’LL CUT YOUR THROAT OUT!” Jerrod laughed.
“My name is Jerrod,” he answered, “And I’m here because I’m the person you are hunting for. I’m the one with the Tear of Light.” Heather grew scared.
“He may not be a big demon,” she said, “But he’s fierce-looking!” I glared at him as he laughed hardly…then he looked at me.
“The little girl is right,” he said, “I’ve become fiercer than the last time you and I have fought Rudy. So are you ready to lose?” I took my swords out as the others joined me.
“So much as you put one finger or blade upon my family members,” I said, “You’ll die along with this Dusk!” He laughed evilly.
“Then fight me…,” he said. We looked at each other for a few seconds…then we clashed into each other…the battle began.
I swung my swords at him repeatedly as he knocked me out of the way a few times, going for Matthew. He put his spear in the way to guard Jerrod’s hits. At this, Matt stabbed him and flew him over himself. Jerrod took the pain and began spinning in the air towards Cirby. He threw his Chakrams at Jerrod as he dodged them artfully. At this, he managed to cut Cirby down, but he took the hit very well and tackled him hard towards me. I started to spin my swords as he was coming in, ready to chop him into pieces. He guarded on sword with his own as he guarded the other one with his own. He hit me in the head with his head, taking the pain as much as I could. Heather came in with a whiplash to his mouth. Blood started coming down his mouth fast.
“You’re mine you little brat,” he yelled as he charged forward. She cowered down as fast as she could when he was at her with his swords out. Suddenly, an arrow hit his arm as he screamed in pain. Cameron smirked.
“Heh,” he said as he loaded up another arrow. He shot it as it hit Jerrod’s other arm.
“Damn you bastard!” he yelled, “I’m going to kill you for that!” Down came Matt with a finishing blow to his head. Jerrod fell over…with a smile. Was he defeated?
“Now for my Beast Form!” he yelled. He suddenly started changing. Darkness started forming around his body as we grew alarmed. When the darkness was gone, a wolf about the height of a house could be seen in front of us. It was black with Dusk markings all over it. It had horns and chains all over its body as it carried bands around its paws. He growled fiercely at us. He was right! He has gotten stronger!
“…Sh$t,” Matt spoke as it roared in anger. Another battle began…
Suddenly, a barrier rose over everyone…except Heather.
“What the hell?” Matt said. Heather was outside the barrier…with the demon.
“Try to get through the barrier!” I yelled. We all started attacking the barrier as fast as we could…but we couldn’t do anything.
“Why won’t it break?!” Grady yelled. I looked at Heather…she seemed worried.
“Heather!” I yelled, “Now it’s time to prove yourself a hero! Destroy Jerrod’s Beast Form!” The demon roared angrily at my words as Heather’s legs were shaking. But after five seconds…she pulled out a face of confidence and got into a battle position. Her legs were still as the battle began.
“DIE!” Jerrod screamed as he charged toward her. She jumped over his head as he crashed into a rocky cliff. She was in the air, spinning her whip as she landed safely. She charged towards Jerrod with her whip flying everywhere as if she was going to round him up. Jerrod quickly turned around and started firing balls of Dusk from his mouth. She quickly dodged them all with the speed she had and jumped into the air. She slammed the whip onto his head as hard as she could, making Jerrod scream. At this, his weak point was showing.
“…That’s the same blue ball we saw when we fought Douka,” Grady pointed out, “Heather! Hit that ball as fast as you can and don’t stop!” She nodded as she swung repeatedly at it. After four hits, Jerrod recovered himself, making the blue ball disappear. He roared angrily as fireballs appeared in the air next to him.
“Fire Spin!” he yelled. Suddenly, the fireballs multiplied their selves and surrounded Heather as quickly as possible. She was getting burned! She darted her whip around and around, making the fire go away as she charged towards him. She jumped into the air and twisted her body over and over like a drill, making her whip surround her body. As the demon got hit, he took the pain and grabbed Heather with his jaws. She screamed loudly.
“HEATHER!” We all yelled. Luckily, the jaws didn’t cut her up. Her hands were holding one jaw up as her feet was holding down the other. With her whip in her hand, she shocked Jerrod’s big mouth fiercely. He screamed as she fell out of his mouth and on the ground. She quickly turned around, seeing the blue ball appeared once again. She whipped the ball as hard and fast as she could, landing another four blows to it. The ball disappeared again as he recovered from being stunned.
“YOU’RE MINE!” he yelled, “DISCOVER THE TRUE MEANING OF DARKNESS!!!” Suddenly, the terrain she was standing on turned black as balls of Dusk were shooting out everywhere. One by one Dusk ball, she was getting hit all over the place. Then at one time, about a hundred Dusk balls shot out of the ground and came together. At once, the Dusk ball took shape as big as a house and shot towards Heather.
“HEATHER!” Matt yelled, “MOVE!” She gasped as she darted out of the way. Another catastrophic explosion could be witnessed only by Dusk this time. She was very tired from what I could see as Jerrod charged forward with a wolf attack scream. He landed right on top of her as dust could be seen, covering the two up.
“HEATHER!” we all screamed again. Soon, as the dust was disappearing, I could see the wolf on top of her as she was pushing his teeth back. She was stuck.
“C’mon Heather!” Cameron yelled, “Show Jerrod who’s boss!” She was struggling to push him off of her.
“Heather!” Matt yelled, “You can do it!” She seemed to be confident a little.
“Destroy him Heather!” Cirby yelled, “DESTROY HIM!” Suddenly, a yellow aura surrounded her body as her eyes turned yellow as well.
“WHAT?!” Jerrod yelled. She managed to pick him up with one single hand! All of our mouths dropped at this reaction.
“Goodnight little wolf,” she said as she jumped into the air. She threw him up further a little more into the air as she got her whip out. At this, she launched the tip of the whip onto Jerrod’s dog foot and started spinning horizontally! At this, the wolf was being carried along with the spin!
“…What kind of power is that?” I asked. Sarah looked at me.
“That’s the Power of the Six Hearts,” she pointed out, “We saw this earlier when Cirby was fighting Jin.” I gasped as the others did. Suddenly, Heather was spinning him vertically towards the rocky cliff.
“DIE!” she screamed. At this, she span the demon one more time with the whip she had in her hand. Then suddenly, she yanked the whip the opposite direction of where she was spinning, causing the whip to release Jerrod towards the ground. He was coming in like a rocket! At this, he crashed into the ground with an explosion so big, it was almost bigger than the explosion witnessed earlier with the bombs!
At the explosion, Heather landed on the ground as the aura and yellow-colored eyes disappeared. The blue ball appeared one last time. It was time for Heather to finish him off.
“HERE I GO!” she yelled as she charged towards the ball. She slashed it over and over again so fast you couldn’t even see what was going on! Suddenly, the blue ball exploded as Jerrod screamed badly. Blood started coming out of his mouth, choking him badly. Then suddenly, he exploded into Dusk, leaving a tear behind floating in the air. Jerrod was defeated once again.
The barrier that surrounded us disappeared instantly as we crowded around Heather, who was breathless.
“YOU DID IT HEATHER!” I yelled as we carried her, “YOU DESTROYED THE BEAST FORM!”
“WAY TO GO HEATHER!” we all yelled as she cheered in happiness. I’ll bet she learned something from that fight…
Dusk was taking over the area as it once was, and the fire from the bomb storage was calming down now. The tear was floating in the air as I walked over to it, grasping it.
“…We will…meet again,” Jerrod spoke out. Suddenly, all of us were teleported to the front of the springs. The tear appeared before us…and sank into the springs slowly. Suddenly, the spirit appeared before us again with a smile on its face.
“..You have done it once again,” he told us, “Like you saved Luonnotar, you saved me…I’m forever in your debt young ones.” We smiled at his words.
“You can always count on us!” I yelled.
“I’ve always depended on you,” he said, “And like Luonnotar, you haven’t let me down at all. I’m proud of you heroes for what you’ve all done.” Sarah looked at Heather.
“Great fight,” she said.
“Thanks!” Heather said with a smile on her face, “I didn’t think I could fight that huge thing by myself!” We all laughed as the spirit joined along.
“Heather…,” he spoke, “You can do anything you want to if you put your heart to it,” he said happily. She nodded as he continued, “But…the dark power you seek…lies in the mountains of this Province just up ahead.” We turned to the dirt pathway that leads all the way to the mountain above us. It was huge!
“They call it Flame Mountain,” he said, “The dark power you seek is up in Flame Mountain’s mines…the Norog Mines. You must go up there and collect that dark power and save the Cacus Province.” We all nodded. “Now rest heroes…as I shall join.” He began to disappear.
“Wait!” I yelled, “What’s going on between the Norogs and the humans?!” It was already too late…he disappeared.
“It’s ok,” Matt said, “He’ll probably tell us tomorrow. In the main time, let’s find an inn around here where we can rest up for tomorrow.” I nodded as everyone followed me.
Gladly, the Dusk was already gone when the spirit left for eternal rest. At least the Cacus Province returned to normal.
As the moon pierced the darkness around us, a man ran out of the house and pointed at the bomb storage house.
“SEE!” he yelled, “IT’S ALL GONE! GONE I TELL YA!” The other man came out with a serious face as he looked upon the building.
“How could anyone have done a thing to your house if nobody was there in the first place?” he asked, “Maybe you lit a bomb by accident and left it alone without knowing.” The man started screaming.
“Are you telling me that I, Joseph Barnes, A BOMB EXPERT IF YOU WILL, has left a bomb out there alone only to see the results of this catastrophe?!” The other man sighed as he looked towards our direction with a smile.
“Oh,” he said, “We have newcomers to our village…what a pleasant surprise.” Of course, he was talking about us…who else? Joseph pointed at us.
“I’ll bet they’re the ones that blew it up!” he yelled, “They did it! They did it! THEY DID IT!” We had sweat coming down our faces as it was true…but it seemed an accident.
“Calm yourself,” the other man said, “They just got here, and you dare judge them already?” Joseph looked at him…and then sighed.
“…I don’t know…,” he said. Both of them walked up to us.
“Hello,” the man said, “My name is Zack Crowder, the mayor/shaman of this village…and who may you all be?” I stood up.
“I’m Rudy,” I said, “And this is Matt, Grady, Cirby, Cameron, and Heather.” He smiled at all of us.
“Are you all the ones that got rid of this weird darkness?” he asked. We all nodded.
“Then I must thank you for your efforts,” he said, “Mr. Barnes over here will give you a nice place to sleep for the night…ahem!”
“Oh, right sir,” he said, “If you will, please follow me.” We all did as I turned to Zack.
“We received a letter from a girl from this village,” I stated, “Would you happen to know who the girl is?” He smiled.
“I may know,” he answered, “She goes by the name Kali.” My jaws dropped. This was the girl Cameron took the picture of!
“…Thanks,” I said as he smiled.
“No problem,” he said, “If you have business to discuss, I’ll be in my hut over here.” He pointed to a large hut that was shaped like an Indian’s. I forgot what the name was at the time.
“Meet me at 8:00 AM in the morning if you have anything you want to discuss,” he said.
“Ok,” I told him, “See you tomorrow.”
“Goodnight,” he said calmly as he walked back to his hut. Zack seemed trustworthy…but I wasn’t sure.
3:30 AM…
I suddenly woke up because of the movements on my bed. I saw a girl there.
“…Huh?” I whispered.
“Rudy?” I recognized the girl to be Heather, “I had a nightmare…can I sleep with you an Matt tonight?”
“…S…Sure,” I whispered. She snuggled between me and Matt. “Now get some rest ok?”
“…Ok,” she said. I made myself comfortable and went to sleep.
“…Rudy,” she spoke.
“…What Heather?” I questioned.
“My life has changed hasn’t it?” she asked.
“…It may have,” I answered, “Judging by the way you’ve taken out that Beast Demon, you sure showed us a bit.” She smiled.
“Thanks!” she said.
“…No problem,” I told her, “Now…can I go to sleep now?”
“Yes,” she said. I shut my eyes.
“Rudy…?” she questioned.
“…What?” I questioned again, trying to keep my anger from boiling out.
“I love you…,” she said. I felt touched by what she said.
“…I love you too,” I said. She fell asleep as I did.
Wut do you think?
