V
The Demon in the Woodland Temple
As we entered the Temple, we looked around. It was dark inside, and few torches lit our way through. Grass and dirt was everywhere, and trees even existed inside. I smiled.
“This actually looks…interesting,” I said. Grady looked at me with a smile on his face.
“You aren’t afraid are you?” he asked.
“Heh,” I chuckled, “This place is nothing to me…let’s just find that shard and get on with it.”
“Just be careful about the demon,” Sarah reminded me, “I’ve seen him myself and he’s pretty darn big.” Heather frowned at the thought.
“
“Don’t worry about it,” he said, “Nothing is going to happen to us.” Suddenly, a loud call was heard above. It was that monkey again.
“Argh!” Matt said, “It’s that damn monkey again!” The monkey jumped from the trees and landed in front of us. He had a key in his hand…a big one.
“I’ll bet that’s the key to get to the demon,” Cirby said.
“Then let’s get him!” I yelled. Everyone got to their feet again as the monkey ran off. We were on another wild monkey chase again.
We raced across the bridge as fast as we could, seeing there were fans above them, making them go fast. The monkey jumped across a huge chasm and continued running towards the door. Matt threw a rock at him, dazing him in the process.
“Now’s our chance!” he yelled, “Get that key!” But right when we got to him, he shook off his daze and ran through the door. He laughed some more.
“We can’t let him get away!” Heather yelled, “Let’s get ‘em!” We burst through the door to see where he was at. He appeared in front of the other door across a little but huge pond. Bridge parts were all over the pond, and they looked loose.
“We’ll all have to be quick,” Cameron said, “Let’s go.” Grady stopped him.
“No,” he said, “I’ve got a better idea.” He got his boomerang out and aimed towards the broken bridge parts. He threw it as hard as he could with focus, which caused the boomerang’s winds to come from below. One by one, the pieces of wood were being gathered and brought over to us. At this, the bridge was magically fixed.
“Way to go Grady!” Cameron yelled as he ran across.
“Let’s hurry!” Matt yelled, “He’s getting away!” The monkey looked surprised and quickly ran through the door. Hopefully Matt was going to capture the little imp and get that key…maybe.
The next room was darker than the entrance, so we couldn’t see anything too well.
“Damn!” Cameron yelled, “Can’t see a thing!” Sarah got out in front of us and pulled out a Dusk Ball.
“How’s that?” she asked. The entire room was lit up.
“Talk about a huge light,” I said as she giggled.
“There he is!” Matt yelled, “Get that fag and tie him up!” We quickly ran across the bridge as the monkey laughed at us some more. He ran through the next door as we followed.
Now we were in the upper lands of the forest. There were platforms with a giant locked door ahead of us. The monkey ran across the platforms as Cameron grew angry.
“Gotcha!” he yelled as he fired an arrow. He shot the monkey’s tail as it screamed in pain. It dropped the key as Matt quickly snatched it. It was a black key with a purple diamond in the middle.
“Alright!” we all yelled. The monkey whimpered and ran into the next area.
“Well Grady you were right,” I said, “That is the key to get into the demon’s lair.” Cirby looked at it.
“Wonder what the demon looks like,” he questioned. Heather looked at us.
“Hopefully not dangerous,” she said. I looked ahead.
“Doesn’t matter,” I said, “We’re there…so let’s go pay him a visit.” Matt nodded as everyone walked onward, hopping across the platforms carefully. As I pulled out the key, I turned to the others.
“Our first fight,” I said, “…Ready?” Everyone nodded as I put the key in its socket. The lock spun fast as it dropped. The chains from the lock broke off as I opened the door. Everyone followed. We were inside the room now.
The area around us was huge. Only three windows existed and the area was about as big as five hundred yards. We huddled around each other.
“Nothing unusual,” I said, “Wonder where the demon’s at.”
“Hopefully not trying to scare us,” Sarah said. We all nodded as the little monkey could be heard screaming from far away. It pointed at us as it cried sorrowfully.
“Oh yeah,” Matt yelled, “You got what you deserved you little fagot!” Suddenly from the mist, a giant brute appeared in front of us. He had a black mask on with demon red eyes. His skin was as brown as a tasty brownie and had a mouth the size of full grown adult male. His fangs were a little long, and his claws were unbearably sharp. He was as tall as three two-story houses put on top of each other.
“…W…What the hell,” Matt said in horror. Heather screamed in horror as the simian screamed loudly, nearly breaking every boulder in the room.
“Who is that?!” I yelled. Sarah looked at him.
“The Dark Simian,” she answered, “Douka.” We all immediately ran as he slammed his giant fist down upon us. He screamed during the process. Heather turned to him and whipped him hard across it. He didn’t react, so it must’ve not hurt him.
“What the blazing hell do we do?!” Grady yelled. I thought a moment, but then the demon swung his big arm at me, making me hit the wall extremely hard. Matt jumped in and started stabbing his hand hard and fast. He didn’t even react to that either, but he swung his arm at Matt, making him fly to me. I caught him, landing on the ground in the process. I quickly put him down as I ran forward with my swords out.
“Grady!” I yelled, “Aim for his eyes!” He suddenly understood what I meant and he aimed hard. He threw the boomerang straight towards his eyes as Cameron took an arrow out, ready to shoot. He shot the arrow as the demon’s eyes were being blown into. He quickly covered his eyes as he screamed in pain by the arrow shot caused by none other than Cameron himself. Suddenly, a blue ball appeared on his chest.
“That must be the weak point!” I yelled, “Strike it immediately!”
“Don’t have to say that twice!” Cirby yelled. He threw his Chakrams towards the glowing ball as it darkened a bit more. As his Chakrams returned, Matt jumped in and repeatedly stabbed his stomach. The demon swung at Matt as he regained himself. He guarded his stomach again as I found out Heather was on top of his head.
“HEATHER!” Matt yelled, “What the hell are you doing up here?!” She repeatedly stroke Douka over and over again…nonstop.
“Grady! Cameron! Shoot! SHOOT!” she screamed repeatedly. Grady and Cameron did as they were told and loaded their selves with the weapons they fight with. I charged forward as the two shot their weapons…but something happened. Douka guarded himself and grabbed Heather and threw her to the ground hard. She managed to regain herself, but became VERY tired. Douka put his hands together.
“WATCH OUT!” Cameron yelled. He slammed his fists down so hard, darkness ripples spread through the ground, hurting everyone. I was almost out as everyone else was.
“Grady!” I yelled as he got up from exhaustion, “Throw the boomerang!” He used the last of his strength to throw the boomerang straight into the demon’s face, which bled nearly dark blood. Cameron reacted quickly by shooting the arrow straight into his two eyes, which he screamed dangerously. His dark blue ball appeared again.
“Let’s finish him!” Heather yelled. We all quickly ran straight into the demon’s weak point and striked nonstop. Finally, the demon screamed so loud, the arrows in his eyes popped out as blood squirted fast out of them. The dark blue ball exploded as blood started going everywhere. The demon…was defeated.
“WE DID IT!” Cameron yelled, “We’ve defeated Douka!”
“Alright!” Grady yelled.
“Teaches that simian not to mess with us!” Matt added. Suddenly, as the demon fell over, he exploded into something VERY surprising.
“THAT DEMON WAS MADE OF DUSK!” I yelled. Cirby looked at the remains of the Dusk Demon.
“…Heh,” he said, “Not much of a creature if you ask me.”
“Must’ve been one of Mantus’ troops,” Cameron exclaimed, “I’ve never seen so much Dusk in my life.” Heather walked over to the demon and looked around. She pulled off a black piece of stone that had markings all over it like Sarah’s body.
“That’s a Fused Shard,” Sarah stated, “This is what happens if you love evil too much.” I nodded as everyone else did. Sarah made a portal of Dusk appear in front of us.
“This will take us back to the outside of the Temple,” she said, “Rudy…you should take this shard to Jin and tell him about it. Then he should let you into the Cacus Province.”
“He’ll have to say yes,” I said, “Then we can get into Andorra faster than the blink of an eye.” Matt smiled.
“Then our dream will come true,” he said. I nodded with a smile.
“We finally get to see the land,” Heather added.
“Then let’s go pay Jin a visit,” Sarah said. We all walked into the portal with a smile on all of their faces…except me. I turned to look at the monkey lying on the ground. The other one came back and bowed to me.
“Why is it doing that?” I asked her.
“Douka must’ve been under a curse,” she said, “That’s why the monkey is thanking you.” I nodded as I bowed to it…and then left the Temple…
Did you get what the monkey was trying to do the entire time?

The monkey was leading them to Douka the whole time! As I was reading that, I thought, that monkey was moving too fast to be coincedence. Of course, like the monkey in the Forest Temple in the actual Twilight Princess.
