argh I've given the movie clips their own layers and put the script on the layer and all but it still won't work D: what have I done wrong?

It's been about a week... So you may not have figured this out. But the actionscript should be on the movie-clip/symbol and not the layer.

ok so i need to know how to get the art i did in a paint program into each layer of the flash game. like i did a body and the clothes in ms paint and i want to use them in flash. i have heard of this being done but i don't know how. can you help me?

Um .. I'm using Macromedia Flash 8 Pro.. and um .. when I convert the character or the clothing into Movie Clip the whole screen goes white .. O.o

yeah i hae the same problem, person is on bottom layer each piece of clothing is on seperate layer above it and each piece is a movie clip.i put the action code just as it is shown in the tutorial on 6 lines for each piece of clothing and i get the same error.

When I made my kitty character a movie clip, it turned into a giant white screen and there was only an arrow on the side and when I clicked it,
it said color.
