when i put the code in it works, but there is no box thing in the middle were there is no background . do i have to add that to the background?

Just look in the artists comments for info about that~
The box is floating in your custom box, it's an extra bit of code (that goes after the background code), that means a box will appear in the middle. Then add stuff to the box

Hello, I was wondering if I want the image to truly act like a background and sit behind a featured artwork or something similar do you know the code?

aw I can't remember now but I can give you the code, you have to make a sort of dopleganger for the picture aha
A little tip, put the image url from your deviation that you get when you are not editing the box, if that makes sense. Then it will be the right size

You'd have to put the image source in the coding (after the background code)

so im guessing if i wanted to apply this background to another widget (say, that favorite folder you have at the top) i'd have to get the code for that widget and CP into the custom widget?

Did you right click the image, go to properties and then copy and paste the URL address?
Or did you just copy and paste the web address at the top? ^^
