Description
So, I saw this piece of art online, a George Perez New Teen Titans piece used for the cover of the first NTT Archives book. It had the heroes jumping or flying out of a circle in the center of the page and I thought it would be fun to do a version of it with the Guardians characters. As I got to laying it out, I got the idea of the burning paper at the top, what with the blasters all flying out at the top. That's Corona, Galaxia and Wildstar at the top. Firewing, the guy in the wing-suit. Aurora, in the center and Cassandra on the right, beside Titan, the big guy. Mantra, is the man in black, wielding his magic blades. This is a new set of colors, for this version of Mega's costume, the blue and white guy in the lower left. I usually color this one red and black, but with all the others in reds, I thought I'd go with a different color scheme. He's had blue and white costumes, before. In black and silver, on the right, is Cyclone, our speedster. In the background, is the Guardians HQ, along with their special-build aircraft, an alien battleship and the alien ship Corona and Galaxia used to come to Earth.

I'm thinking time dilation at relativistic speeds.

Actually, yes. I need to write up a huge apology, but I have strips that I just finished this weekend, ready to post. Going to just go weekly, for awhile. Picking up, right where I left off.

Thanks. I seriously never knew if anyone was really reading it.

I know of at least a half dozen people who were reading it. I'm posting notes on a few different message boards to let people know it's up and running again. And while I'm thinking about it, what about Hero Blog?

I'm working on it. I have to come up with an explanation for a four year gap.

You should probably include a comment section then. That way we can let you know.
And you're welcome.

I think I turned off comments because all I was getting was spam. I should put my email address in the copyright notice on each strip. I tried the whole forum thing with HeroBlog and it never took off.

Yeah Forums might, but you can never tell. Spam? To paraphrase Jack London
“After God had finished the rattlesnake, the toad, the vampire, He had some awful substance left with which He made a spammer.
A spammer is a two-legged animal with a cork-screw soul, a water-logged brain, a combination backbone of jelly and glue. Where others have hearts, he carries a tumor of rotten principles.
When a spammer comes down the street, men turn their backs and angels weep in heaven, and the Devil shuts the gates of Hell to keep him out.
No man has a right to spam so long as there is a pool of water to drown his carcass in, or a rope long enough to hang his body with. Judas Iscariot was a gentleman compared with a spammer. For betraying his master, he had character enough to hang himself. A spammer has not.
Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Judas Iscariot sold his Savior for thirty pieces of silver. Benedict Arnold sold his country for a promise of a commission in the British Army. The modern spammer sells his birthright, his country, his wife, his children and his fellow men for an unfulfilled promise from his employer.
Esau was a traitor to himself: Judas Iscariot was a traitor to his God; Benedict Arnold was a traitor to his country; a spammer is a traitor to his God, his country, his wife, his family and his class.”
(With one exception, the only chamges I made were to substitute spam and spammer for scab and strikebreaker.) Someone once said this quote was “written with barbed wire on sandpaper."
You can try Captcha, the best one of those I've seen is Sweet Captcha, easy to use yet you have to be human to do it. Even Captcha doesn't help over at "Too Much Information" by Andy Odenthal though, he uses some form of wordpress plugin that blocks the spammers. He had to manually configure it to allow me to comment, I still don't know why. If you want to ask him about it, I have his contact information, just let me know.

Good news, as I've had several people ask me if you were planning on restarting Ad Astra.

I tried three or four times to get going again but it just didn't work out. Finally got the urge to tell stories again so I'm hoping I can keep things going this time
