My old tablet broke, and I'm still getting used to this new one. Anyway, this is my new WIP. Admittedly Penny was on my to-draw list prior to volume 3. I recently thought about it and...instead of drawing her as how she "was", I felt it would be more fun to reinvent her in how I imagine she would look like if she were rebuilt. I guess it's fitting that I would draw her anew on my new tablet.Related content

Thank you, and I totally respect that. I myself am not actively hoping for Penny's return. Rather, I'm just much more open to it than I am about Pyrrha returning. Her memories and aura aside, I assume they can at least easily rebuild a robot that resembles her. For Pyrrha on the other hand...unless they have cloning technology that we're not aware of, it's gonna be a lot harder to convince me that we'll see her again in body and form.

thanks for not raging. Look I like penny she was no where my favorite but I liked her just saying that now. my reasons are if she does comeback to me it lessened the impact of vol 3 and number I hate it when people come back to life it get to the point where a lose interest. ( For example supernatural the Winchester die more times and pulled more wins out of there assΒ then I can count that it loses all meaning. penny and pyhra death and yangs arm loss turn rwby from a show about cute girl to some samurai jack season 5 level of shit. Now if penny's creator builds a new penny but it's different from the one we new like if has no memories of rwby that's fine it's like church and alpha from rvb.Β my point is I don't want the scars of vol 3Β to fade let the wounds heal but I want team rwby to never forget what happened. Even if SalemΒ and cinder are defeated I want them to remember those they could not save. Not walk out into the sunshine with yang totally fine with a robo arm and penny reborn and yes pyhra would still be die but it wouldn't be the same. srry for the rant Β Β Β Β Β Β Β

Thank you for the explanation. Personally, I kind of hope penny comes back because her story felt unfinished, for example we never really got to know her creator or why she was built. We may get the answers in volume 5 or 6, but I still miss Penny (At least she's in RWBY chibi).

I'm not for or against Penny's return, but if they do go that route then I would want them to do it for a somewhat different reason. It's true we don't know much about Penny's past...but the same could be said about Pyrrha, and I don't think it's prudent to bring both characters back just because of that. We can learn about their pasts through indirect sources (e.g. Penny's creator, Pyrrha's parents, etc) in the later volumes, so that really shouldn't be an issue. What I prefer instead is more character development/social interactions with Penny. I feel we haven't seen her strut her stuff and shine quite as brightly as Pyrrha was allowed to prior to their demise, which is why Penny seems to be more deserving of a return IMO.
