i changed a pmx. into pmd. and the textures were gone!! what do you do to get the textures back??

try to re-write texture names in pmd editor,if texture names are long and with japanese characters re-write them~
dont forget to re-write texture names in pmd editor~

there should be few problems-
1st - old version of mmd
2nd - models extension name (.pmd or .pmx) could be re-named
3rd - upgrade graphic card ^^

any idea if this is also possible with the deskmate edition of mmd? (no menu's no background, just loading the moddel on the desktop with a invisible window)

i dont know if irs possible, but you can change pmx o pmd by opening pmx editor and converting to pmd

ah lol yeah too late, i already found a tutorial for that, only problem is ones i convert the pmx to pmd all the clothing textures go white, hair and eyes/skin stay normal, (just some missing textures)
just trying here but do you know the origional maker's site of TMD Neru Apped model?
thats the one i am trying to convert but there are countless re uploads all over the web but i cant seem to find the origional one, on top of that i cant get it in PMD, (the only file that i need)
its sad that this all started as a atempt to make a fun desktop tool to work, having a dancing neru (with good textures) on my desktop dancing when i play songs (already have a few cool techno motions) so far i already spend 5 days on trying to make it all work -_-'

try to re-name textures
because pmd editor isnt allowing to use long texture names or with characters
for example if texture is named with japanese letters - ベルト.... rename to english or numbers
but,if textures are with normal letters,rename numbers like 1 2 3.....
and i dont know whats TMD neru XD

hmmm strange, the map has the hair, head and skin files but not the clothe textures,
how does the file even load textures it does not have in the first place?!

o well i requested the maker (well re maker) of the model to make a pmd file of it, hopefully he/she will respond, or else i can trow out the 5 mmd programs i downloaded (took me 5 of them before i found one that worked on a decent level)
and all the 25 models i downloaded so far to test the program and start looking for a new desktop buddy system

motions and poses are made on other model bone types,so for poses you need to edit to look nice and smooth

if model isnt moving, then its not rigged to mmd

The model I'm trying to use is IA's model, I think it's rigged to MMD. I can move the model, but if I load a motion data it just gets back to it's original position. I don't really know what's happening to my MMD u_u

some motion makers are making motions and facial motions separated, for example- clover club motion comes with bone motion and facial motion separated ^^

yep, because older one doesnt have pmx plug-ins its only designed for pmd files~
