Whee, what I've been working on the last few days! And I am very very happy with how it turned out, this has gotta be my favorite drawing in a good long time. Heehee! Whee for getting inspiration back!

Anyways, this is Sphinx, the main character from Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (who woulda guessed that :U). He's a very lion-ish demigod, and I really wanted to draw him doing something cat-like. X3 Since he only has a furry tail, I gave him a cut. Yep. And like most felines, he gets very disgruntled if he's seen washing himself.

The thing I think I really like about this is the background, since for once, I didn't just scrap it at the last minute. In the game, there's a city called Heliopolis (which actually was a real city...which made me squee when I read it, Abydos too! heehee) where, at night if you're at the Upper part of the city, there's this HUGE moon which I just like to stand and stare at. :3 And then get killed by not being alert. Durr.

The colors got a little dulled on this when I scanned it. ._. Especially the goldeny skin colors. Ah well. It's SPHINX, so you all don't care, right? x3 Oh yeah, and the title...Khons was the god of the moon, Shu was the god of light, and Sphinx is...Sphinx. So I tried to get something vaguely close to moonlight with godnames. Enjoy teh Sphinxness and the moonshineness. <3 <3
