**Not all brush, texture, paper texture are compatible with all Sai types**
Here is how I add new brushes, paper and texture to Sai. Your files will look slightly different. My brushes, paper, textures are from DA artists which can be found in my favorites folder.
If your files are zipped, unzip them. Not all computers have an un-zip program so the download may ask you to install the un-zip wizard first.
Copy the downloaded files to Sai. It is better have copies in case you have to uninstall Sai.
Make sure to copy files to the correct folder.
For the last step, this green Sai application showed up when I either installed Sai or when i installed a new brush. I added a new brush today as I did this tutorial and the new brush would not show up when I launched my normal Sai application (the green/blue one). However, when you launch the green Sai application it installed the new brushes and now my original green/blue Sai app has the new brushes.
I do not know if your own Sai program folder will have the green Sai. If you do not have it and your brush will install w/o it please let me know.
Also, i have been seeing brush.config come with brushes files. that file goes into the general Sai folder.

I sreach a lot and found only the official page of sai and after download the folder and start the program it says that I have to buy the license, I know isn't legal but are there some ways to get it free?

i do not know how to get a hold of that without finding a real, full download of the actual Sai. That is very odd you do not have those options. they have been around i believe since Sai started. Idk where to find that in the Sai program folder. I'll be sure to msg you back if I locate them

I was not able to determine a file for the tools. I would suggest doing a search on something like "sai function files' or maybe idk Β "sai overlay file name" or "file extension".

Is there a way that I could download the Easy Paint Tool SAI program without downloading the start_sai.exe?? Because I swear I had the program in the SAI folder before, it's just that when I checked it today, the program is gone... OnO

your actual Sai exe file that will open Sai is missing? The start sai.exe is not a normal part of the Sai program.

open the sail file folders (do not open actual Sai)
download your brush and paper textures
put papertex, elemap and blotmaps in the correct folders
You need the start sai.exe to update the Sai folders (i got mine from this memberΒ toadsdontexist.deviantart.com/β¦ )
Double click the start sai.exe file so it makes the changes
then open your normal sai app and see if the changes are there.
this method may not work for all Sai programs. Many people are having difficulties getting the changes to take place.

the green thing didn't show up for me..
however, i have gotten this one before and it worked. i just can't remember how i did it- although i did recently upgrade to windows 10.. maybe that has something to do with it?

if you have the green start sai it should work. I have not upgraded my computer to 10. i have enough problems with it as is. lol.

I have sai 1.1.0 and I cannot put new textures ;-;

most are not. 1 person had luck modifying the brush folders while running as admin. See if that works. there may be an issue with Sai now that the new version is out.Β

check ToadsDontExist brush packs.. there should be a "start sai.exe" with them. After you move the brush and textures to the folders, click the start sai.exe so it can initiate the change.
Keep in mind this method is NOT working for everyone now. Several members have been trying to find another solution.

I moved over the start sai.exe thing from ToadsDontExist 's folder to the general sai folder and it gave me the green button, and now all my textures are there ; u ;

Are you using the green "start sai" to initiate the update? Another member had not received the start sai and is unable to update their new brushes.

I believe they changed it because I have some old sai brushes that are the size you mention.
I'm using sai 2.0 if that means anything.
