Assalaamu alaikum [Peace be to you],I got countless notes and messages asking me for a Hijab tutorial. so here is one I made for you all Hijab lovers. I made 3 simple hijab tutorials here. from sketching to inking. using a base girl head.
I hope they are simple enough for you to get started. you
if you have any remarks on how to improve the tutorial, feel free to let me know. I may consider them in my next tutorials.

I have a character who wears the head covering but has a rather attention-getting outfit otherwise. Is this an offensive design? (i should mention that the story she's in is set in 4012 so of course we won't know what's considered yes and no in 2000 years, but i still wish to avoid too much controversy.)

Is it acceptable to personalize the khimaar? If so, are there any limitations? If not, why?

I think it's acceptable to personalize it as long as it doesn't break the hijab rules.
Why?
It's a logical deduction. the khimar is part of the hijab. the hijab has rules. the khimar has no specific rules. the rules of the hijab apply on the khimar (and any other clothes worn by a Muslim woman)

I don't have problems drawing the front I have problems drawing it from the side! could you add the side tutorial maybe if that is not to much to ask? overall, it's pretty useful.

the Qur'an says "let there be no compulsion in religion"
if by compulsory, you mean "the Muslim woman is punished if she does not wear hijab", then no. there is no prescribed punishments for the woman who does not wear the hijab.
The Muslim woman has to learn the purpose and benefits of the Hijab. and then, if she loves the God and wants to please him, she would willingly wear the Hijab.
The Hijab is woman's right. she can use it and enjoy it. or she can leave it and it is her own loss.
