Description
This is partially for fun and partially because I need some fan art to put on my table at Animazement this year.I'm not that happy with it, but hey. It's better than like any painting I've ever done ever. I'll probably go back and touch it up a little at some point. My favorite parts of the whole thing are the two monsters behind the TARDIS, the sky, and the interior of the TARDIS. In other words, everything that's not all that important. Pff.
I also feel like the Doctor looks a bit weird, though I can't really decide why. Hmmmmm. Also, I think the whole image is probably too dark.
Anyway, critiques welcome, as always. If I need to change something large, it probably won't get done, but small things and color/lighting tweaks I will do.

Okay, I'll be honest.
I wanted to a realism portrait of someone turning into one of your beasties. I was going to practice lighting, color, composition, mood,and anatomy and I thought morphing someone into one of your beasts would be fun (because my beasts do not exist since they stop at the sketch level...SIGH).

ps. My mother has nicknamed her new palm-pilot her "head"/"brain" and she carries it EVERYWHERE. She uses it for everything: shopping list, Bible, mp3 player, games, calendar, schedule, and even to do finances. She's an Ood: she carries her "brain" in her hand ^^'.

Very lovely and totally fun! I wouldn't suggest selling it Animazement though and not because of BBC. Animazement has this policy that if it doesn't have to do with anime/manga or the Japanese culture, you can't sell it. Just a heads up
But yes, that would be a time to say, "On Second thought..."

Actually, Animazement is where I heard of Doctor Who for the first time. There were a bunch of steampunk artists (notice the lack of Japaneseness 
My art wasn't all that Japan-related either for the most part (Fu Dogs are, I guess), but I still got a table. And sold a LOT.

I would sell stuff at Animazement but I don't have the time or the drive to do a bunch on Japaneseish stuffs. I do more European, African, Native American, and Middle Eastern art. SIGH. Oh well

I don't think it really matters what you draw as long as you are paying for a table and actually have stuff to sell. I think they just don't want peoples' photography/art class drawings, etc.

I'm talking about the RIDICULOUS edge.
I know it's a supposed to be a "party" but it's kind of annoying when you're walking around the dealer's room and some random guy tries to smack you with a yaoi paddle. THAT was annoying.
I don't know. Perhaps I didn't enjoy the constant "nyaaaahs" and "nyuuuus" that were coming from 25+ year-olds. I did enjoy the panels though!!! Those were awesome.

YEP. I was part of one. That's what I was talking about when I said we rickrolled McDonald's. Some guy had a boombox playing "Never Gonna Give You Up" really loudly. There were like four or five people with him when he started outside the Dealers' Room, but by the time he got to the front doors, he had at least a huddred. By the time we got to McDonald's, that number had just about tripled. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US went through the tiny McDonald's building, dancing wildly and singing along. It was insane. And then someone called the police and all three hundred of us bolted.
Fun times.
