LOL - Thanks.  But that was actually the simplest part of the project!  Just a point-to-point thing done with straight lines of thread.  It was all the rage in the 1970s, so that probably means I'm having flashbacks.

Look for "string art" or "string art geometry" in any search engine, and you will find many tutorials.  Youtube even has some videos that show how it is done.  My source material consists of books that I acquired more than 25 years ago from a math teachers' educational catalogue.
