Description You can download Create.swf extended here.  (click the top link.)

This is "Create a Touhou Character" eXtended, an edit of create.swf (Touhou 15 version).

Create.swf extended manual .

If you want to backup/transfer your save data you can try using this.

Updates:
9/7/17: The scene title is now abbreviated when it gets too long.
9/4/17: The camera can now be manipulated with the middle mouse button(hold shift/control to zoom/rotate). The camera can also be zoomed by holding control and using the mouse wheel. Disabling auto prop size now uses the correct speech bubble size. Zooming the camera no longer makes images difficult to click on.
8/13/17: Prop effect "attached" bugfixes and improvements, "attached" effect now handles flipping correctly. Prop effects can now have their targets changed from their options menu.
8/11/17: Added effects "outline" and "attached" .
7/26/17: Fixed hair color saving issue. Added effect:"theater mode = hide".
7/24/17: Added "Hat" to character detach menu. renamed shoe "Minoriko" to "Barefoot". Yoshika arms and Barefoot now work with custom skin colors. Fixed a vanilla create.swf compatibility issue(correct backgrounds should load from old saves now).
______________

Find any issues, or have a feature request? Then let me know.(Hard drive died , and lost motivation so new updates are unlikely.)
I'm not an artist though, if there's any prop/background/character you want you'll want to look here  first, if they don't have it yet you can try making a request there.

You mean when you use the "change parts" menu and remove hats and/or accessories by selecting "none" the preview icon doesn't update properly? I just tried that and it seems to update properly.

Edit: I just realized what you mean, the character options menu arrows break when the part is on "none", I'll look into the cause of the issue.

It seems to be an issue with the data updating. I'll look into fixing the issue. for now you can click around a couple boxes in the options menu to allow it to refresh the proper data.

There seems to be some sort of bug.  When you cycle through parts in theater mode, any stock props that are in there (where their rotation and size has changed) become distorted (squashed/stretched).

rsgmaker In reply to Reimu-and-Cirno [2017-01-29 00:55:22 +0000 UTC]

I can't seem to replicate the issue, i've saved, resaved, spammed a bunch of new scene parts but the size remained consistent when i flipped back through all the parts.
I both stretched and scaled and everything worked as expected.

I had the masker in use when I was in create.swf.  That might affect things.

I tried downloading it from the link the descrption and I get the normal walfas not walfas extended. Why is that?

rsgmaker In reply to Bowser-and-himself2 [2017-01-26 04:53:36 +0000 UTC]

It should be the extended version. But I either forgot to actually hit the button to upload it, or my internet died during the upload. Either way I replaced the link with a more responsive version of the page, the correct version should be up.

Bowser-and-himself2 In reply to rsgmaker [2017-01-26 05:00:54 +0000 UTC]

Wait no it just for some reason it doesn't seem to have the detached arms I think it has the skin color things though. I don't know why it doesn't have it.

Yeah the upload for the newest version didn't go through. My internet was acting up at the time, but I may have just forgotten to hit "sync" to actually upload it. the correct version is uploaded now though.

I can't seem to download this.  I've attempted it with Explorer and Chrome.  Is there a special procedure to save this on a hard drive?

Edit: Nevermind.  It seems DA wants you to right click on the download button then click "save as."  Seems like a rather roundabout way of doing things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rsgmaker In reply to Reimu-and-Cirno [2017-01-21 22:28:49 +0000 UTC]

DA's download button is only a direct link to the content they don't set the link's download attribute for some reason. Many people have trouble downloading create.swf extended, which is why there's a download link in the description for people who are having trouble with downloads.

Hmm.... I might have a suggestion for a new addition

Since there's a color multiplier, color overlay, and inverter, maybe we could have a greyscale too, for flashbacks and old photographs?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rsgmaker In reply to EvilNazgul0616 [2017-01-21 15:58:54 +0000 UTC]

Vanilla create.swf already has this feature in it's snapshot filters.
If you mean a box that grayscales/desaturates the area behind it, unfortunately there's no blend mode I could use to get that effect.

EvilNazgul0616 In reply to rsgmaker [2017-01-21 17:12:32 +0000 UTC]

Just press S to make a snapshot. click the screen/snapshot, click the snapshot object's menu, click filters->greyscale.

Enderking152 In reply to ??? [2017-01-04 16:47:52 +0000 UTC]

It may not be possible, but can you add a kind of "render option". It's tedious to have to andysnap every frame in an animation at even 12 fps.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rsgmaker In reply to Enderking152 [2017-01-04 20:27:51 +0000 UTC]

Such a feature wouldn't be possible. I can't add an option to slow down create.swf's frame rate either. Your best option might be to use a video recording software . another possibility could be to use ComicLayouter Suite's animation capture(Press F5 in the create.swf window, press F5 again to stop).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Enderking152 In reply to rsgmaker [2017-01-04 21:56:23 +0000 UTC]

By render, I mean it saves an image of each part to a file

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rsgmaker In reply to Enderking152 [2017-01-04 22:26:09 +0000 UTC]

I've thought of this before, and it's... technically possible. But the only options are awkward external tools, or rewriting most of create.swf. I don't like either option.
I've not used other screenshot programs, so I'm not aware of a less tedious program. ComicLayouter Suite's capture doesn't require you to confirm the location each time, so it could be a bit less tedious, but still not as simple as you want.

Are you using a Flash projector? i believe they are more stable than the browser plugins.
The newest flash projector sometimes doesn't load things correct the first time, but you can get a slightly older one here .(windows)

That's an issue specific to google chrome, either use firefox or flash projector .  or you can disable image anti-aliasing in the options menu.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rsgmaker In reply to SailorVelvet [2016-10-11 02:20:49 +0000 UTC]

What specifically is the problem? If you're referring to the text box under options->settings, the original value for that is "Meiling".

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SailorVelvet In reply to rsgmaker [2016-10-11 02:38:26 +0000 UTC]

I went to Settings, and erased the name "Meiling" and closed the options menu, opened it again, and, poof, it's gone, no way to fix it. Now all I get some randomized character.

rsgmaker In reply to SailorVelvet [2016-10-11 03:40:41 +0000 UTC]

Hmm this issue is present even in vanilla create.swf, having blank values apparently confuses the category system. I've uploaded a fix.

I was previously using create.exe, and would like to switch over now. How can I keep my saved data? (I have a .sol file containing the saved data from the old create.exe, and would like to know how to get createx.swf to read it, if possible.)

EDIT: Worked out that PepperFlash on Chrome is what's causing the issue. Opening up createx.swf on Firefox automatically keeps the save data from any non-Chrome version of create.swf one previously has.
