I added the layers and such but when I added the grey and blue background, it didn't show up like it did in your pictures.

oh don't worry, those colours were just me randomly picking the colours, it doesn't have to be exact ^^

Despite how all over the place the instructions were...
I think that's one of the first tutorials I've ever read where I GOT all of the steps and could actually follow what you were doing.

XD Sometimes when I look at tutorials, it's because the person's using all these fancy shmancy technical terms that I have no clue what they are or what they're doing.

6_9 wow that just confused the sh*t out of me x~x i usually just ink every thing in photoshop and a color layer unerneath and shade on the base colors XD although if im not being lazy (like when doing comics) i usually do more XD

oh that page was inked by hand by my friend sonicboom, he drew that page my job and the basis of this tutorial was to handle the colouring Xd

though hey I do know a way to ink it digitally, and that's too well do it by hnad, I suck at inking in photoshop but there is another option, eevr heard of paintool sai?

ah but im working on a comic where im doing EVERYTHING BUT the writting so it probably shouldn't have to go through too many people before being posted in this case, besides im good at inking just not as fast as i'd like it to be X3

heh well all I can see to get faster is to practice, though I find that sketching in blue pencil and inking in RL is the fastest approach!
