There's a girl on Magic School Bus that is blonde with pig tails just like the ones on that chipmunk, and she's named Phoebe.

Nicely done! The shading looks very good on this, especially on Alvin's head and eyes (eyes are so hard!). Good job on the teeth as well--I attempted to put teeth into Jeanette's mouth on "Dancing in the Rain" so many times, but it never looked right, so I kinda cheated and just closed her mouth a bit more. XD But you went for it, and it looks all the better for it! Good job!
Nice to see their tails as well.

Thanks! I found it a lot easier to do the eyes when I started doing the individual parts on different layers. And yes, they have tails! That's 100% your influence

Yeah, eyes will definitely put your layering usage to the test, I found that out. But like you said, it's totally necessary if you want them to come out looking right. And you're welcome about the tails!

GAAHH!! NO! Don't use MINE for a reference! Use a GOOD one! I've actually never read that many MLP stories either, otherwise I'd recommend one for you, but really, there's much better to be found than my feeble attempt. It's good for a few lulz, but that's about it.
I've heard of "Bubbles" -- a Derpy story, I believe? I've also heard lots of good things about "My Little Dashie," and if you're looking to be traumatized, there's also the infamous "Cupcakes." I read one called "Rarity's Magic Book," which is more on the erotic side of things (and not normally my cup of tea), but it was really well written, which is something I can appreciate. Other than that, I'm afraid I don't have many suggestions. Happy hunting!
