Another weird painting... This actually was a texture-study, I used palette knife for the "tree", and very thinned paint on the backround... But it turned out quite cute even though I´m not sure what´s the "story" with it.
I just have been feeling a bit "surreal" for a while. The photo again does look a bit bad compared to the actual painting.Painted with oilpaint.

I like that the tree is a hand. Perhaps an Ent stood still too long in nesting season.

It´s quite rare for me atleast to get a good photo of a painting, especially if its done with oils. Light is always either too bright or too dark, so the picture turns out fuzzy or with reflections...

Can't you go back and work on them? If something really bugs me I have to fix it...and it's not too wierd, I've seen worse (a LOT worse). "Owls nest" is more cute than creepy though, the baby owl tones it down a bunch.

Well, I could fix them, but not before I get them back from the art- show (or what you call them <_< ) they are in. I´m happy that it´s not too creepy though, even if I like doing my pictures a little freakish.

"Normal" sells better, I guess... But I tend to get bored with it. <_< I just took some of my paintings (including this) to a small gallery that is property of artist shop next to it, nothing more than that.

Yeah, normal sells, but why be normal? If everyone painted pretty butterflies the art world would suck...
