I'm one of those people who can't use GIMP or Photoshop and I can't make transparent borders with Picnik or MS Paint... so I suppose my stamps aren't welcome. Oh well.

Say I want to copy paste a picture on Photoshop,
I can't find the "Selection Square" and I also tried to crop it but I can't get the whole thing >.< and when I do 93px 49px it doesn't fill the whole thing. Do you know what I'm doing right?

Um, I'm not sure what you mean. Could you possibly screenshot it or something? I don't use photoshop, myself.

that you for caring, freakingpurple, because i am one of those people who cant get GIMP or any other better software, and i dont like being excluded.

Gimp and Paint.NET are also free programs, it's well worth trying it out.

freakingpurple [2011-07-17 10:53:37 +0000 UTC]

Harsh... Do you just mean a border that blends in with the background? Because all the people who can't afford software and use ms paint can't do transoerant borders. I am not one if these people as I use gimp, but it would be really sad to exclude people?

I'm sorry, your comment has confused me. Come again?

Madddrox21 In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2011-08-01 19:14:22 +0000 UTC]

what he means is theres a program called MS paint where you cannot do transparent things. There are people that can only use that, and one of thosee people is me.

forget it- i was being stupid
i was trying to say that i cant do transparent, but i colored the outside and found a way around it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to Madddrox21 [2011-08-02 18:31:42 +0000 UTC]

Colouring the outside still isn't transparent, though.

Madddrox21 In reply to Madddrox21 [2011-08-01 19:18:00 +0000 UTC]

although i will try to figure a way to do it transparent.
i know how it feels to not want to let down a rule.
i also know your not trying to be mean.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

freakingpurple In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2011-07-17 21:54:58 +0000 UTC]

On Microsoft paint you can't do transparent borders. People who cannot afford other software and use paint will therefore be excluded from this group. Isn't that a bit mean?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to freakingpurple [2011-07-18 04:36:10 +0000 UTC]

It's our policy. There are free programs that allow transparency, like The GIMP.

It's not meant to be mean. Honest.

This is helpful. I was wondering why two stamps I have had that problem.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

rikaga [2010-11-08 09:28:42 +0000 UTC]

if I may ask, why does my stamp came out with white bg and it looses its transparency when I make the animation on Adobe Imageready 7.0?
and how can I make it invisible?

because each time I save it, it loses its transparency

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Vivirmivida In reply to rikaga [2010-12-05 12:40:35 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that is what happened to me too, using Paint.Net....

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-08 09:31:21 +0000 UTC]

I dunno, I have never used ImageReady, but it may be the file type. Try saving it as a png or gif.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rikaga In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2010-11-08 09:54:11 +0000 UTC]

so what did you actually used to animate and to "pixelize" stamps?

even if I saved it as a gif and cropped it, this is the example of the outcome
[link]
even thought I already cropped it when I'm working on it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-08 22:39:30 +0000 UTC]

Cropping only affects the size of the canvas/image. Does the edge actually look transparent in your program while working on it? There should be an option when you export or save the image to preserve that transparency.

I personally use Fireworks, you use imageready, right? Have you read up the help manual to see if it has any tips for saving with transparency?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rikaga In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2010-11-09 01:34:14 +0000 UTC]

yes it does
I already set the thing on the preference and output but it still doesn't work

Adobe Fireworks?
like, I read the manual thousands of times but I still can't find the transparency thingo D:
thanks

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-09 01:48:23 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I am not sure.

Yes, Adobe Fireworks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rikaga In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2010-11-09 01:53:36 +0000 UTC]

hurr, so with Fireworks, I can create gifs without preserving the colors and it could have transparent edges?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-09 01:55:33 +0000 UTC]

What do you mean by preserving the colours?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rikaga In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2010-11-09 01:59:34 +0000 UTC]

I mean, the colors got preserved like, it has those dots after I saved it D8
like those dots are the matte or diffusion

I mean it didn't show clear and bright images OTL

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-09 02:17:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh, that is weird, I don't know what is up with that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

rikaga In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2010-11-09 02:25:36 +0000 UTC]

that's why
did you download Fireworks for free, or with payment? sorry to disturb you >_<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to rikaga [2010-11-09 02:34:16 +0000 UTC]

Fireworks you do have to pay for, if you want something free, I would recommend trying the GIMP.

stuck-in-suburbia In reply to Beaken [2010-10-11 10:16:51 +0000 UTC]

The border? It is required by our rules, though it does not have to be white. You can change it.
