Description
***CLICK TOP LEFT DOWNLOAD BUTTON ***These are the fla files for << this masking background >> example and for the Masking Tutorial.
Each swf loaded in the background in that online example is from 1kb up to 22kb large
The smallest file is *s0nkite 's Spiderman pattern
Included in the zip are all the fla/swf/html/ files. Also included is the display fla you see in the example which also uses a mask for the reflections.
Instructions on how to quickly edit the background with your own pattern:
In the library double click on the background image to bring up the image properties, then click on "Import" and navigate to the pattern you want to use and then click on OK.
You can add to the mask movie clip addtional gradients also. Checkout << this lighting example>> (22kb) which has a few more gradients to give the effect of lighting.
Lastly don't forget you can adjust each gradient using either the transform tool (Q) to resize it or the transform gradient tool (F) to change the gradient's size.
If you have any questions just drop me a note.

Not missing, just checked the download and it's the background 1.gif file. (very small image) I had reduced the original to it's smallest element for tiling.

My pleasure and thanks for the
I think most people are aware of being able to use bit-maps as a pattern but the gradient mask adds a nice touch while keeping the file size very small
