So yes, I'm currently in the process of re-artworking all my Goth [stereo] Types, with the ultimate goal of creating merchandise and hopefully publishing a book of my art.So here's a preview of the images so far - PLEASE let me know what you think! As you can see, I've made each image more detailed and given the goths slightly more realistic proportions.
What do you think of this? Do you like the new art upgrade? Or do you prefer how the originals looked? Please let me know either way, I truly do rely on your feedback!

I like the redraw, but on the male Romantic Goth I rather the old outfit better, the only thing I think it's cooler on the new one, is the scarf like thing on the neck (I know it's not a scarf but I have no idea what it is called XD)

I like the newer ones because they're more detailed and taller, but I like the older ones because they're so cute and tiny.
So you could use both of them, just use the small ones for like side pictures you could put 'randomly' around the pages and the big ones for bios and such since they're more detailed (and it seems like they need their own page anyways). This is just an idea, but I hope this helps some.

i really like the larger pictures. there's a little more detail in them, and the poses look a little less akward. you added more detail to the characters, yet you kept a little bit of the simplicity that they already have.
btw, the romantic goth boy looks adorable in the way you redesigned him.

I really love the goth types that you have created. I am an adult in my late-20s and I am just getting into the Goth scene. Your cartoons and their descriptions have really helped me distinguish the differences in the Goth culture. Thank you so much for this and I hope one day you can book put a reference book out.

Hard to say, in a lot of ways I like the originals, somehow I find them more expressive. Except the goth girl, the first one, I really like the new version of her a lot!
Maybe it's something about the legs on the boys - the posture... I think the slightly rounded legs fits better with the style than the straighter, more inverted V legs. Same with the elbows, I think maybe the angularity is what bothers me about them, because the rest of the way the figures are stylized is very "round". And I admit I liked the long purple coat on the lil guy in the middle
Well, that's just my spontaneous impression - they're all really great either way!

I just realized some styles you forgot, horror goth and circus/freak goth. Come on who doesn't like dressing like a circus freak or a mass murderer?

Alright I've got a question that no one has been able to answer me. Do Cholos/Black-Death "metalheds" even exist in any country other than Scandinavia (and a few other countries in Europe and some in Latin America)?
And if so, what are they called "Formaly", here in Costa Rica they are called Cholos, though most of them are simply the image of the satanic worshipers with the mind of an 80's rock star (Sex, drugs and Black metal instead of rock'n'roll).
Their image a lot like the guys from Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, etc. sometimes wearing the corpse paint aswell.

I love the way the romantic goths look now. I didn't particularly like the clothes the man was in before, but I LOVE the frilly shirt. Much more romantic than a robe/cape,and he looks much more like a young man lost in love now, IMO. <3 I loved the Trad-man and I'm glad you kept his look, and added details to the romantic girl. I agree with the eyebrows thing someone posted.
I love your site, it helped me a lot with organizing my thoughts for a speech I'm doing on the misconceptions of goths and the art is very cute! I can't wait to see the cyber goth
