Well, I've illustrated some of my general ideas for my Spectacular Spider-Man fanfics and my Green Lantern: The Animated Series fanfics. So now, I think it's best if I get a couple pics done for the THIRD series I'm trying to find fanfic co-writers for...X-Men: Evolution.To start off, I thought I'd begin by revealing one of the key players in my fanfic ideas. That player is Jonothan Starsmore (aka. Chamber), a character who, in my opinion is one of the most interesting, yet underappreciated, mutants out there. In deference the the Evolution series, I decided this introductory pic would be in the same vein as the show's end credits, since I WILL have him joining the team.
For those who aren't familiar with him, Jonothan's body is, essentially, a chamber of living psychic energy (hence his name). Unfortunately, when his powers first manifested, that very same energy exploded out of his chest, effectively destroying everything from his upper jaw to his lower torso. For the most part, his powers consist mostly of firing beams and unleashing explosive blasts. His mutation also offers him regenerative powers that may very well rival Wolverine's (he once regrew his entire body after one of his explosions was so powerful, he completely disintegrated himself). Yet, oddly enough, he is still unable to regain the body parts he lost when his mutation first emerged.
For my fanfic ideas, I've also come up with a new way for Jonothan to use his powers which I actually think could theoretically be canon. The idea is basically a technique called "pulsing", where Jonothan delivers bursts of energy to his arms and legs, allowing him incredible surges in speed and strength, should the need arise. His powers will also be useful in another respect, but I'll get into that when I get an upcoming pic posted.
As for the pic, itself, it looked so promising when the pencil work was done. Not that I think it's bad, really. I mean, I wouldn't have posted it if I thought it was bad. It looks more or less like I wanted it to look and the colors came together nicely. I just kind of wish I could have gotten the energy effects to look better than they did. I just REALLY wanted to make it sing, you know? And nothing I tried to do could really bring that out. Which, again, isn't to say that I think what I have here looks bad. It looks pretty good. I just can't help feeling like it's missing that kind of, "je ne sais quois", you know?
But I'll see if a new technique comes to mind, the next time I give drawing him a go. In the meantime, I hope everyone else likes what they see. And if it gets you curious about my fanfic ideas and maybe inspires you to inquire about helping out, so much the better. Either way, hope to hear from you. ^_^

Well, I maxed out my Callie Level and walked away with over 1300 Callie Power, so I've played my part for the time being. I might look into doing a little more, later, but it's enough for now, primarily because it was just so frustrating at first. For over an hour of trying, I was constantly losing connections. It wasn't until I unplugged my modem and plugged it back in that I finally started getting a decent Wi-Fi connection again.

Welp, It's over..... and I'm all piss and vinegar now. Half of my friends who voted for Marie messaged me on kik today saying stuff like "THE SALT QUEEN WON! WHERE'S YOUR QUEEN NOW B****????" I basically showed them a rule 34 image of Marie to shut them up and that drove them away lol. But still, R.I.P. Callie

As for the results, well, I would say play nice to the trolls out there (even if I don't know what kik is). They're just trying to annoy you, so don't give them the satisfaction.
I will say, though, the results definitely surprised me. While not a landslide for the popular vote, it was still not a small margin that Marie won by. And that, I did NOT expect, especially when I ended up fighting our own team a couple of times and I was like, "Oh, HERE we go" (because we both know what that usually means).
I'm actually wondering if so many people sided with her because they thought everyone was going to side with Callie and they just wanted to be different (EVERY-SINGLE-ONE of them). But I also have to wonder if she might not have eked out a win if the popular vote had swung the other way. Oh well, nothing can be done about it now. Still, if you look at the overall Splatfests, Callie still won more than her fair share, so...
I just wish they'd given out more Super Sea Snails as a reward if this was the last one. Especially since there appears to be no other way to get them, anymore.

Well, the best theory I can come up with is that they're maybe going to introduce a system that let's you buy them with your in-game currency. Because ever since the Splatfest ended, now, when you win a match in Turf Wars, instead of getting a 300p bonus, you now get a 1000p bonus. Doesn't sound like the kind of switch-up they're gonna throw in there just for nothin', you know?

Oh, I noticed. Someone brought it up in the Plaza, shortly after the Splatfest. I tried it for myself and it turned out to be true. And like I said, this doesn't sound like the kind of thing they'd do just for kicks, you know? So there has to be some purpose behind it.

Well, I guess we'll find out. I wonder if it might even be tied to the Callie/Marie Amiibos. Maybe they do more than just sing.
Speaking of Callie and Marie, it's worth noting that Nintendo released three separate videos on Youtube to commemorate the various Splatfests that were run in Japan, North America and Europe. And after looking at the results on all three videos, of the 16 Splatfests that were held in each region, Callie clearly won more than her fair share of the matches. While the Japanese Splatfests saw them both winning an equal number of contests (eight apiece), in the North America Splatfests, Callie edged out a 9-7 victory ratio over Marie. However, with the European Splatfests, Callie was utterly dominant, winning a staggering 11 rounds to Marie's five.
I was kind of tempted to show you the links, but I ultimately decided against it. While it's interesting to see the varying themes with each region's Splatfest (you can't read the Japanese text, but the pictures provide you a clue), their choice of song for the videos (at least to me) is kind of a bring-down. As a commemoration, it feels more like a eulogy than a celebration and when it's over, it's hard to say I received any joy for the experience. All it did was just remind me that it's over.

Aww come on, that was on my alt account. Even if they get rid of my alt, I'll still have my main account. And besides, that was on the hidden section on the New Luigi U group, where there are 100s of trolls posting just about the same thing, even worse things too actually. Also, I agree with you on that m********ion part, but just listen to me for a second. That comment that I wrote was to some creepy guy. He would post stuff like "Can I Wii U chat with some girls please?" and "Can I please have a girlfriend? I want to make her all mine!!!" So when he posted "I'm alone, all the girls hate me." I wrote him that comment. Yes, I know it's not the best comment to go with, but thanks to me and a few other users, we reported him and got him banned permanently! We actually saved the miiverse community from some creepy dude. So when you think about it, I actually did something good. I mean, would you like to see a little girl reading my comment, or getting frightened by some creepy guy on the Wii U chat? I would just call myself an anti-hero at this point, because even though I may have "caused damaged" I (and a few other users) fixed a problem.

Well, for what it's worth, I still prefer eBay over Amazon because then I can use my Paypal account and just pay directly. I don't need to use my credit card. I've had my Paypal account since I was in college and I swear by it. They're a great little organization. The only issue with eBay is that it can usually be a lot of second hand stuff, which isn't so bad if you're buying for yourself. But as far as getting a Christmas or Birthday present goes, not as viable an option.

You see, all the miiverse communities are filled with people who have that video game related to the community (EX: The Mario Kart 8 community only has posts and people who have Mario Kart 8.) However, this doesn't apply to the New Luigi U, so anyone can post anything they want!

I actually can't, no joke. Meatspin . com has the 2003 version playing in the background, not the original 80s version. All the albums that I own don't have the 2003 version and the official music video for that version is blocked in Canada. So I can only listen to the 2003 version on MS.

Console banned is when your whole console get's kicked off the servers because you've been bad numerous of times. If you try to make an account on a banned console, you cannot use the internet or the servers. So your console is just useless at this point.

Well, the bells and whistles are the best part of the original, that's why I'm not so much of a fan of the 2003 version. It still sounds cool though.

I think so. You want a tip? AS you're leveling up your gear, don't make it all Level 1 or Level 2 items...and CERTAINLY not all Level 3. Stagger the levels of your Gear. Put on, say, Level 1 Headgear, then a Level 3 Shirt and Level 2 Footgear. Then, when your Headgear levels up and fills its one slot, bow out, switch to a Level 2 Headgear, then go back in and start battling again. And now this is where it really starts to move, because once you're at that point, a couple of battles later it'll be like, "Oh look, my Footgear has gone up a level". Then a battle or two after that, it's "Oh, now my shirt's gone up a Level" and then it's, "Oh look, now THAT Headgear's gone up a level". Then, once your Footgear is maxed out, switch it out for either another set of Level 2 Footgear or even a Level 3, because your shirt will already be on the way to being maxed out.
Bottom line, by constantly keeping the levels of your Gear different, they level up at different intervals, so it ALWAYS feels like you're getting somewhere and it never feels like a grind. And suddenly, in the middle of maxing out all this gear, "Oh look, now YOU'VE gone up a Level". It's just all about stepping up to the next rung on the ladder and the rung after that and the rung after that...
Well, the Dope version isn't a perfect cover, either. I just think it's got a little more bite to it.

Same here. I think it was on Mr. Nightmare's videos about top 10 creepy posts on 4Chan that really scared me about that website the most. There's one about a girl being unburied, one about a guy setting his home on fire, one about this guy having body parts in a fridge, and so many more. It's quite a spooky place. O_O

Well, 4chan is basically the personification of a quote from Eric Schmidt..."The Internet is the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn't understand...the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had". 4chan is unfortunately among the worst of that.
No problem for the tip. Like I said, by staggering the levels of your Gear, you'll always feel like you're getting somewhere and accomplishing something and it won't feel like a grind. The only problem is, since they bumped up the win bonus from 300 to 1000, you'll be leveling up your gear that much faster while your personal level will remain growing at the same pace.
Yeah, I think you've mentioned the Flo Rida version. Haven't heard it, myself, but I've heard it's not great.

I remember that my first introduction to Chamber was when I read "The Runaways" comic and he showed up with a few other characters who used to be teenage/kid heroes. I think this turned out looking very nice.

Glad you like the pic. Hopefully, I'll find some help along the way as well. As for the pic, well, since Jonothan has no real face to speak of, the only real way to capture the XM:E style was his nose and his hair, which I think came out alright. Of course, he doesn't really have a nose that long in the comics, but I wanted something to make him stand out a little.
As for what I get out next, well, we'll see. I'll admit, I was at a bit of a loss as to what I wanted to draw this week until the inspiration suddenly hit to draw this pic. And like I said, I'm fairly pleased with it. It also inspired me to get a couple of other pics done, so we'll see what happens over the next week or so. ^_^
