It reminds me of a Gateway commercial. But, more interesting. A lot more interesting.

You're welcome. Reflections/mirrors in shots can work so well. I just need to experiment and try things out of the norm like your pic.
Take care
Sam

I'm sorry but I have to consider this as some sculpture/installation even if that was notz your intention....

very well composed photo. this probably was mentioned but what the hec, i find very intruiging that the cloud actually matched up with the rest of the grass on the left side of the mirror. One very minute negative aspect about the picture is the yellow patch of grass, other than that top notch stuff here.

That yellow patch I left there on purpose. I'd rather not be so pretentious and fix nature's imperfections... Other than that, I'm pretentious as hell. Thank you for you comment. The clouds shaping like the grass has indeed been commented before. No matter, only two people have noticed it.

I'm sure it's all been said before (even that), but this is such a great idea and a great photo that resulted from it. It's just such a splendid minimalistic piece and the colors are perfect.

There's nothing I can type here that hasn't been said already... but oh well. Awesome work. Someday the print will be hanging on my wall, it's such an amazing example of minimalistic (but moving) photography!

No matter. I'm glad you took the time to give me your two cents. Thank you for your comment.

It feels like a doorway in a field I feel that it would lose that if there was no shadow... great Idea... very nice colors.... I love the series... Thank you for sharing this great body of work.

Great idea (the series). I like this shot...if you could have managed to hide the shadow of the mirror and find a equaly green place it would have been a truely stunning shot...still a lovely piece.

Wilby3000 In reply to r4tm [2004-07-04 14:31:32 +0000 UTC]
Actually I've tried it without the shadow, and it just seems kind of empty without it. Maybe it's a matter of preference... Who knows?
Thank you very much for your kind words.

Hmm...true. I was just thinking in making it surreal...bit like having a piece of sky on the grass without any hint of how it got there
π: 0 β©: 1
Wilby3000 In reply to r4tm [2004-07-05 11:19:00 +0000 UTC]
Indeed. The print version has no shadow but I'm not sure if it looks any more surreal...
