Well, the completion didn't take me hours if that's what you mean. The lighting was created by a once in a life time moment: the sun was actually setting not rising, and it was raining outside. Originally the photo had a rainbow peeking on the corner of it, but I had to crop it because it became too noisy because I wanted to emphesize the bright orange tones that the sun glared in. I then tweaked the background by sharpening it heavily to get all the textures from the rugged concrete wall. Shooting it was pretty awkward as well because I had to be on my knees for a while to get the silhoutte into a good angle. Then of course the sun began setting and I lost the image, so I didn't have all that much time to work on the angles and such.
"Putting it together" was more or less a carpe diem effort which is why the photo was successful. What else is there to get?

Orange is my favourite colour and my god it looks good here. So vibrant and intense, and the composition with the hard shadows is excellent.
A really unique photograph in that it implies the subject without really showing it.
Creative and a very aesthetically pleasing result.

Thank you. Yes, I love the way shadows mimic our very being and how you can identify what they mimic without actually seeing the real object. I was lucky to capture shadows with a story to tell... Thanks again.
