Out of the entire set, the only ones that caught my eye were "It's raining sideways", "Blockfucker", "Horizon" (and its remix), "My Cartoon Life (scetchy mix)", and "stripe5.8 (Clean Cut Mix)". Most everything else just doesn't seem to work as a whole image.

Finally came out eh? Took long enough
Notables:
Intro - mmmmm, technical. Gotta respect that fully rasterised scene complete with z sorted model (even if the z sorting is slightly broken). Bit of moire, but its forgivable.
Linerider - what? I keep thinking this is broken in some way
Candy cube - I like the background but the cube is bleh rgb
Blockfucker - I love the motion blurred grunge effect, awesome.
My Cartoon life - I like the flow but the colours ruin it a bit
Iconic - this is a dissapointingly weak model preset
Horizon - The preset is okay, but jeez do some optimisation, totally unecessary number of sscs
stripe5.8 (Clean Cut Mix by MrNudge) - This effect is great on its own, nice and softened up in the remix, if only it faded out at the end it would be perfect ( col=col*(1-idx/reg02) or somesuch )
Final thoughts:
Pretty solid pack, bit dissapointed by Grandchild and Hurricane's showings after last time, impressed by micro.D's first(?) offerings

well my favourite is blockfucker . it's just damn cool, i like the colors and the movement.
It was the only preset i got to remix, that i liked ... or that i thought was worth to remix, but i just did'nt knew how to remix such a kick ass stylish thing.
and by the way .... stripe 5.8 OMG
that is so fucking good, i had to change my pants after that WOW.

now that linerider seems to work for me (when skipping the intro), i have to add it to my favourites aswell!

my favourites are energy drink drank (whatever sense that name makes) and blockfucker for their great texture and microD's remix of mr. nudge. horizon looks nice until the moment it turns bright and nudge delivers some solid stuff aswell, though i don't like the colours really. depending on the order i play the pack, some presets stay black or crash winamp. must be the usual avstrans rubbish. seen better from you jheriko, just 3d without any extras is kinda boring. same goes for all nanakiwhateveryouspellthat presets. hopefully a more diverse pack next time, but i don't think it will ever get as good as vol. 2+4.

it's just not the same. it might outperform avs by far, but it just hasn't those nice trans-effects.. rendering is not everything!

what do you mean by trans-effects? - how one preset fades to another, or transforming objects?
i'm doing milkdrop stuff for some years now.
AVS never thrilled me - maybe because it is so slow (respectively only runs in a very poor resolution)
i only meant to say i'm feeling pity that there are so few people engaged with milkdrop, while the true power of PixelShader-support is just getting revealed these days.

i never really wondered what "trans" might stand for, but i'm not talking about transitions. it's what defines the look of a good preset, i'm hardly impressed with just renders.

well, yeah - but i what i personally don't like about md is that in most presets you end up seeing some sort of "scope" (avs-speak?). havn't seen many distinguishable styles, like the renderless preset competition that was going on quite some years ago in avs. i also think many of those look like avs presets, just at a much higher framerate and resolution. i always considered avs pretty lame compared to some grown-up visualization tools, but at the same time the limitation opened ways to find out what's possible with it. with limitation i speak of the slow speeds it gives. well, i'm done with all these things now anyways. if i had the time, i'd prolly look into processing or vvvv.

So my favourites are jheriko's intro (i really like that rgb screen effect or what, and how it reveals the #7 also), Grandchild's linerider and horizon, Hurricane's r.l.x, and MrNudge's project 42. I really missed the other's remixes especially the few by Hurricane. Overally it has a strange mood i don't know it's a bit simplier than the previous wfc.s.

as always, the winamp forums compilation shows the diversity of this scene.
the star of this pack is definitely ~micro-D ! congratulations on these great presets and also the remixes.
the next one notable would be ~MrNudge i really like that flow of yours the colours are really yummy.
