Xeigle and little Keiai, drawn for *-achiru- 's Parenthood Contest, which you can read about here: [link]This is my "Father's Day" entry. Augh, my style is so different from hers, but I hope the characters are at least somewhat recognizable! ^__^; I went for a sketchy monochrome look with the coloring, and I think it captured the mood I was going for. Done in mechanical pencil and Photoshop 5.5.

This is just adorable, there's no other word for it. I think I said this before, but the warm monochrome tone really works for the piece. It reminds me of a sepai-toned photograph - the whole composition just exudes warmth.
