Description
This is a shot that I took of the blooming and budding flowers while I was on my way to class. Somehow I got the cool forground blurring effect from my mediocre digital camera.:edit: i switched the border from black to white. the black wasn't doing it for me any more. i think the white fits better with the Spring theme and the brightness of the piece. :edit:

i do not like the effect because it's not a real effect the camera just took the wrong focus

does that mean that if i had a better camera and had manually focused it like this then you would like it more? i did have control over what i chose to do with this because i took several shots (some of which were in focus) and i liked this one the most becuase it is different...

yeah it is different for sure all i wanted so say is that normally the focus has to be in the foreground and if the focus is in the background it's a failure of the autofocus but this hasn't to mean that it's is bad i'm sure that some ppl will like it

That's pretty nice, but I would have set the flowers in focus instead of all the branches.

Th flowers being blurred kinda looks cool to me. In fact its good to have a change. Most people focus on the closest part of the picture. But I like the fact that this gives most of the attention to the sky in the backround. If the flowers were clear and the back was blurry then most people wouldn't notice the gorgeous blue of the sky. That makes for a beautiful blend in color and also adds to the spring theme. Also the White back round does look a whole lot better.

Wow. Really nice. It's very unexpected.. I was expecting to see the flower in focus with the bg blurred.. You caught me off guard. Well done!

Ahh... blossoms.
We've just had our blossoms over here ourselves - the smell is intoxicating.
The way in which you've blurred the subject slightly while focussing on the complicated background is interesting... but was it intentional? Now there's a question.

i know the flowers are blurry (although, intentionally), if you read any of the previous comments or the description, the info is there for you... thanks for the comment

It's a nice shot, but I do agree with the others. The blurriness of the flower detracts from the entire photograph itself. While it's neat to have the tree blurred, since it's not the main focus of the shot, it's not effective. I think if you focus the flowers and let the tree and branches be blurry, it'll look 200% better. The branches also provide a kind of feeling of tanglement and chaos, while there's beauty in the middle shown by the blooming flower. Good eye though! You're learning!

I kinda like the blur but then I don't. It kind of messes with my eyes. Oh well. This is a very interesting picture and I do like it! Nice! ^^

lol, again I would have to go with the popular opinion, its a nicely composed shot with beautiful colours. What is happening though is that the human eye/brain sees the prime object as blurry so it has a hard time understanding the image as in real life we tend to focus on one thing and blur out the rest.

Mh the flower itself is great.. the only thing is the focus.. the tree is more focused than the flower.. i dont know maybe it was your purpose.. but for a better picture the flower should be on focus

the bluriness of the flower takes away the interest in this photo. It could be an awesome photo if you focus on the flower, since the title is "Spring Pink March". But maybe there's another way of interpreting it? good photo nevertheless

yeah, i thought it was a cool effect to have the forground blurry and the background focused since usually you see the opposite... i am not really very deep into photography though, so what do i know?

Heh.. cool flower.. cool tree. The same kind sits outside my window.. they are quite beautiful when they lose their pedals and layer the ground in all the different hues of pink. Anyway. Nice picture.
