This is a shot I took of this little stream that leads to a bigger pond on my campus. I love this little area of the campus, it is peaceful and beautiful as well.Related content

I like how the stones lead you throughout the photo from focal point onward to the bottom right corner... even the shape of the lake dividing the space shows a good use of balance.

The vibrancy of the color is amazing! I would have stood a tad to the left more to get a great angle. to center the bottom of the creek a bit more. But this very well done. Nice size, color, compostion, lighting and border. Good job!

nah, they were all closer to the pond that this little stream leads into laying out and tanning. i wish it was still that nice, it has been in the 50s again the last week or so, that day it was almost 80...

A nice flowing composition and form give a good edge to this piece. The angle that you have captured the photo from is highly effective and creates a sense of movement and tranquility of the water. Detail in the shot is very good, with focus and clarity good aswell. I feel that putting a small white Stroke onto the outside of the photo would make a more effective border when coupled with what is there already. I'm not a big fan of the typography here; some of it is too aliased and on the whole I think the fonts need some attention. Saturation and contrast levels could be notched up, just a little, to increase its vividity. Nice work, anywho.

thanks for the in-depth comment and suggestions. i looked back at this piece and decided that i agreed about the border. it was darkening it too much, so i went and tried a white border and i think it makes it stand out a bit more. feel free to take another look and tell me what you think. thanks again for your previous comment. very helpful

That makes the piece as a whole much more effective. The black was overshadowing the photo too much, and this pure white makes it gleam. Nice work.

I dont know what you did to this photo, but its not nice. The thumbnail looked great, but the full view is just yucky. Maybe its too compressed.. i'm not sure exactly.
